Hello, Mt. Olive and friends! It’s that time again to start building shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse.

This year, our goal is to build 50 shoeboxes, and with your help, we can achieve this goal. Many of us may not be able to go to the ends of the world and spread the Gospel, but our shoeboxes can! This is one way kids, teens and even adults can make a global impact for God’s Kingdom.

Though the children receive gifts in their shoeboxes, it is more than just about giving gifts to children. The shoebox is all about children hearing the Gospel message. This project includes evangelizing, discipleship, and multiplying God’s Kingdom.

There are two ways to build a shoebox. You can build a traditional shoebox. This is when you go to the store and purchase items to put in your shoeboxes. If you decide to build this way, please make sure you include the APPROVED items in your traditional shoeboxes. A donation of $10 per box is critical for shipping and other project costs if you decide to build a traditional shoebox. For more information regarding this way of building a shoebox, call the church office at 972-633-5511.

If you don’t have the time to go to the store and purchase items to put in your shoebox but would still like to participate, you can build a shoebox online.  Online you will have the option to choose different gifts to go inside your shoebox. The cost to build an online shoebox is $25. To learn more about this option, visit our Build A Shoebox Goal Page online at or scan the QR Code before November 16, 2023:

We are Sharing the Gospel one Shoebox at a time!
